Frequency of Osteoporosis/Osteopenia, Vitamin D Levels and Associated Risk Factors in HIV/AIDS Patients

Background: Decrease in bone mineral density (BMD) is common individuals infected with human immune deficiency virus (HIV) and the rate of osteopenia, osteoporosis fracture risk are higher than gene-ral population. In our study, we aimed to evaluate frequency osteoporosis/osteopenia according results dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) examination associated factors also 25 (OH) vitamin D.Materials Methods: The files HIV-infected patients followed up clinic between 2011 2021 were retrospectively reviewed.
